It is a center established in 2019 AD in Saudi Arabia, to manage work according to the best standards to regulate the waste sector, effectively and efficiently by adopting best practices and modern technologies,

Organize and supervise all activities related to waste, encouraging investment in it, and raising its quality based on circular economic principles in waste management to achieve the goals of protecting the environment and individuals and promoting a better life.

Missions of the National Center for Waste Management

The National Center for Waste Management has many tasks, responsibilities, and duties for which it was found, the most important of which are the following:

  • trash management

The most important duty of the National Waste Center is to organize all tasks related to waste, whether in terms of export, collection, transportation, sorting, storage, and treatment of waste, and then final disposal of it inappropriate and preventive methods, as well as taking care of waste disposal sites to protect the environment and public health from any harm.

  • investment

The National Center for Waste Management encourages investment in the waste management system, regardless of the type of this investment, as it studies all models and plans developed with the aim of investment, to finance waste management to achieve financial sufficiency in the long term, and achieve the desired goals without financial shortage.

  • Licenses and permits

The National Center for Waste Management grants licenses to all institutions, facilities, and facilities related to waste management activities (except radioactive waste). Permits are also granted to recycling facilities, which, for them to obtain the necessary permits for their work, are required to fully comply with the fulfillment of the Centre’s conditions and laws that it approves and stipulates.
